Special YouTube Note: Enjoy our new video for these podcasts! We figured it offered a better experience allowing our viewers to actually see gameplay footage of our time playing these games! Let us know in our comments or with a thumbs up if you like the new format!

On today's episode of the Never Ending Backlog, we are reviewing ACE Team's, mature adventure, side-scrolling platformer, Abyss Odyssey.

Abyss Odyssey is one of those games we have seen many times when scrolling through our game collection; however, we had assumed it was an entirely different type of game. We assumed it was an indie title (which it is); however, we expected a small budget development, that might have been neglected over the years. Fortunately, we were absolutely wrong. Abyss Odyssey offers a Castlevania'like experience, that performs quite well (with a controller).

Steam Description: From indie Chilean developer ACE Team comes a new side-scrolling action adventure game featuring a complex fighting engine in procedurally generated levels that destines its three warriors to battle a different abyss each time!

There are quite a few mechanics involved with this game, and button combos that unfortunately struggle on a keyboard/mouse. One quick glance at the reviews, and you will notice that it wasn't the smoothest experience for players; however, as we have been using our Steam Controller, our experience has been significantly different. But alas, it's time to review Abyss Odyssey on Steam!
